The agent of Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso has been speaking to media today about claims that his client could join Manchester United this summer.
Reports in the last few weeks have stated that Tolisso has emerged as a top target for Manchester United this summer but his agent rubbished any such speculation.
It had been said that United had already been in contact with Munich with regards to a possible deal but Eric Castagnino was quick to refute those claims:
He told Sky Deutschland: “I am not having any discussions with Manchester United.
“Corentin is currently injured and his return to the field is an absolute priority.”
Tolisso has struggled with injury at times this season and has been restricted to 24 appearances over the campaign.
He is yet to feature for Bayern since the return from the COVID enforced break having picked up an injury back in early March.
Tolisso’s former teammate and former Manchester United full-back Rafael urged United to try and get a deal done today.
Upon seeing the news that Tolisso could join United, he tweeted: “One of the best midfielders I’ve played with. I think he will be perfect for Manchester United. Hope he goes there.”
